“Sprint Coats Hermitage”

Sprint Coatings, based in Ballycoolin, Dublin 15, (formerly Goodbody Colour Coating) provided the Qualicoat powder coat finish for the doors, windows and curtain wall on a recently finished medical facility in Dublin.

The Hermitage Medical Clinic was opened in April 2007 by the then Taiseoch Bertie Ahern. More recently,Hermitage extended its operation into providing emergency services. The new Emergency Department was opened by Minister for Health and Children, Mary Harney in September 2008.

The building utilises large areas of faceted curtain walling across its four storey facade. In order to keep costs down and further improve efficiency, aluminium profiles were shipped directly from the systems provider for powder coating in the companies Dublin based facility. Alan Maginnis, Sprint’s Managing Director comments, “We provide powder coating services for a growing number of projects across Ireland including profiles, cladding panels, balconies and street furniture. We are often involved at an early stage of a project not only to discuss colour, but probably more importantly to discuss logistics and ways in which we can keep cost to a minimum. Through the architects Campbell, Conroy & Hickey Partnership, the responsibility for the Window facades for this outstanding design was given to one of Sprint’s key customers, Alucraft, Ireland’s premier Schüco approved fabricators and installers.”

“At our new premises, we are now developing new services to offer architects and fabricators more coating alternatives from the one company. In addition to powder coating aluminium we also powder coat steel and galvanised steel substrates. Our latest ground breaking venture is to offer a Galvanising service to fabricators.”
